Isabel Zhou, Features Editor

Isabel is a senior at Naperville Central. Outside of Central Times, she is a member of Class Council, GEMS, and robotics. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and making her own clothes. Isabel plans to study business management in college and would love to work in the fashion industry in the future.

A national substitute teacher shortage means that administrative staff are having trouble finding help to cover teacher absences. One particular day needed 17 substitutes, but only 11 of them were able to be fulfilled by available staff. There are currently 28 full time substitute teacher vacancies cross the district.
