Photo Gallery: Central’s boys basketball head coach retires after 33 years in program, 21 as head coach

Pete Kramer, Central’s boys basketball head coach, coached his last game against Downers Grove North in the IHSA State Series Regional Semi–Final on Feb. 21, which the Redhawks lost 29-64. Kramer is retiring after 21 years of leading the program. Kramer has been a part of the program for the last 33 years, coaching in various positions until eventually becoming the head coach. He is leaving Central as the second–winningest boys basketball coach in school history.

Pictured above are moments from Kramer’s last victory as a coach, a 51-43 win over Oswego in the IHSA Regional Quarter Final on Feb. 19.
