The boys golf team payed tribute to former teammate Connor Hunt at the crosstown match against Naperville North on Sept. 13. Hunt passed away last February due to rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive form of rare childhood soft tissue cancer.

“Each year they play a match and get together to raise money to fight pediatric cancer,” head golf coach Barry Baldwin said.

This event raises money and splits it between the Connor Hunt Memorial and the Swifty Foundation, a non-profit organization that raised funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer. The two organizations worked together in this event.

The charity match event usually located at Cress Creek Country Club, was held at the White Eagle Country Club this year.
