Naperville Central’s varsity football team faced off against Wheaton North on Oct. 16 in Memorial Stadium. Since this was the last home game of the season, all of the senior team members were recognized, a tradition known as “Senior Night” across many Central athletic teams.

Central’s Redhawks quickly claimed their spot on the board with a touchdown early in the game. The Redhawks went on to score two more touchdowns and a field goal putting them in the lead 24-0 at halftime.

Not losing any momentum, Central scores another touchdown 15 seconds into the second half, but the Wheaton North Falcons fight back with a touchdown later in the game. Right before the third quarter ends, Central increases their lead with 38-yard field goal.

With two minutes and 26 seconds left, the Falcons scored another touchdown, but the Redhawks were able to maintain their lead for the remainder of the game.

Central’s Redhawks pulled out another win, beating Wheaton North 34-14 on Senior Night.
