Theatre Central’s annual student-written ‘One Acts’ festival takes the stage

Theatre Central’s one-acts show was performed on April 7-9. The theme which tied the five different shows together was Phantom of the One-Acts, chosen by one-acts director and Theatre Central board member Sawyer Jackson. The student written shows performed were also picked by Jackson and included Fairytale University, Flowers in the Family Business, 1-800, Flushed and A Play on Words. Pictured above is “Fairytale University” written and directed by Lotti Brooks which is about a girl who dreams herself into a college which all her favorite princess attend, “A Play on Words,” written and directed by Jessie Yang which features various puns about a girl trying to write a one-act, and “1-800,” written and directed by Julian Coronado, which is a more serious play about different issues which teens face.
