Mr. NCHS Q & A: Mack Heatherly

Catt Kim, Managing Editor

Q: What are you most looking forward to tomorrow (the day of the show)?

A: I’m most looking forward to everyone being excited, and asking me about it. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s faces during different parts of the show, and their reactions. I want to see people having a good time.

Q: What has been most difficult in preparing for the show?

A:Probably having to create ideas of what I want to do and organize it all.

Q: Best memory while preparing?

A:Probably filming was the most fun. [And when] we went to go take a Team Villain picture, Danny Rodgers got his car stuck in the snow while filming, and we had to push it out for like two hours.

Q: How have your relationships grown while preparing for the show?

A:I don’t normally talk to [probably] half the guys, and doing this has helped me talk to them, and now I’m cool with everyone. And the SAC girls have been helping out, so I’ve gotten a lot closer to them, too.

Q: How did you guys get sorted into heroes and villains?

A:We got to choose who we wanted to be. I’m pretty sure everyone got who they wanted, at first the struggle was [that] no one could figure out what they wanted to be, and everyone was worried about impressing everyone [else]. But then we all kind of settled into who we wanted to be.

Q: How did you end up choosing Dr. Evil?

A:I really like the Austin Powers movies, and I quote them a lot, I can do his voice, and I just liked him, so I wanted to be him. He seemed funny enough for the show, so I thought “Why don’t I just do him?”

Q: What talent will you be performing tomorrow?

I’m dancing with my friends, we’re doing a dance from the Jabbawockeez, they’re a dance crew [and] they wear masks, so I’m going to have a white one and they’re going to have red ones, so you can tell which one I am.
