The Redhawks on ice concluded their regular season games with a 4-2 win against the Waubonsie Valley Warriors on Saturday, Jan. 24.

The first 10 minutes of the game were a back and forth of breakaways by each team. The first goal was scored 10 minutes and 15 seconds into the game, followed by a chorus of cheers from the Naperville Central fan section.

There wasn’t much activity for the rest of the first period, but a couple minutes into the second period the game quickly picked up. The Redhawks scored an unexpected goal on a breakaway when they missed the first shot, but shortly after the the puck hit off the shoulder of a Waubonsie player and into the goal.

The Warriors quickly returned and scored only a minute and a half after the previous. For the rest of the game, though, the Redhawks didn’t let up their lead, and finished their Senior Night game with another victory.
