Central welcomes new staff members for 22-23 school year

Mack Gown, Staff Writer

Q: What’s your name?

A: Eric Woosley

Q: What’s your position at Central?

A: I’m a special education teacher at Central.

Q: What does that entail?

A: I co-teach World Cultures and an English 1 class.

Q: What did you do before coming to Central, education and other jobs?

A: I used to work at S.E.A.L (School of Expressive Arts and Learning) which is a therapeutic day school. Students got placed at S.E.A.L if their home district wasn’t meeting their needs. I taught PE and [recreation] therapy [there].

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I enjoy playing sports. I enjoy fishing. I like going to the beach. I’d rather be outdoors than inside. I also coach freshman football, and really enjoy family time. I’m expecting a son on the way at the end of October.

Q: What communities are you involved in or hope to be involved in at Central? Any clubs, sports, or extracurricular activities?

A: I would be willing to coach basketball, softball or baseball as well, if there [are] openings. I also maybe would [want to] join the bass fishing team.
