Q: What was your background before coming to NCHS?
A: I’m actually a graduate of Central. I graduated in 2010. I went to UW Milwaukee for my undergrad in World Languages education in French. Then, I taught English for a year in Nice, France. Upon coming back to the States, I lived in and taught in Whitewater, Wisconsin at the high school there, and then I just completed my master’s at the University of Illinois, Chicago, in French Literature.
Q: What were your prior jobs?
A: My first job ever was at JoAnn Fabrics on 75th Street, and I used to work at Colonial Cafe.
Q: What do you like to do outside of the classroom?
A: Walking my dog. His name is Costello. I enjoy reading books, both in French and in English. Also, I enjoy running.
Q: So, what inspired you to teach?
A: Mr. [Jeremy] Whitt. He was my French teacher at NCHS.
Q: So What can students expect from you in the classroom?
A:It’s going to be a positive and encouraging environment where we will have lots of fun and hopefully develop our proficiency in speaking French.
