Sharon Pan, Opinions Editor

1. What are your post high school plans?

After high school, I want attend a good college and possibly play basketball there! I’m not exactly sure what I want to study, but as of now I’m interested in health/nutrition or physical therapy.

 2. How do you fit into the NCHS community? What activities are you involved in and what do you contribute inside and outside of the classroom?

I play tennis and basketball for Central. Inside and outside of the classroom, I try to encourage others to do their best and always try to have a positive attitude.

3. What are you most proud of?

I’m proud of the fact that I’ve been able to balance school and sports so well. I am doing well in both areas, meeting and sometimes exceeding my expectations in school and on the court!

4. What is your life dream?

My life dream is to find a career that I love doing and involves helping others. I want to move somewhere down south, away from Chicago’s cold weather. I have also thought about being a news reporter on Sportscenter (Hannah Storm – Hannah Swarm) or finding a job that involves me traveling the world!

5. What is something about you that you would like other Redhawks to know about you?

I might be shy at first, but I am outgoing and love meeting new people. If you like to talk about sports or like listening to country music, I would probably enjoy talking to you.

6. Favorite high school memory?

I have many great memories at Central, but so far my favorite would probably be this past tennis season. Everyone on the team was so much fun to be around and we had a very successful season.

7. Favorite joke or quote

“Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.” –Lou Holtz

8. What is something you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my parents because they always encourage me to do my best and support me in everything I do. Also, I couldn’t live without my brother because we push each other to do well in our sports and he always makes me laugh. Oh, and cookie cake – I look to buy that for any occasion.

9. What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself

Energetic, determined and friendly

10. If your life were a movie, what would be the title?

The Life of Swarm

11. Who is your biggest hero or role model?

My grandma because she is determined, competitive and always active. All the things she has accomplished in her life have motivated me to work hard and I hope I can enjoy life as much as she does.

12. What is a motto you live your life by?

Live life to the fullest and laughter is the best medicine.
