Redhawk of the Week: Junior Andrew Biddison

Andrew Biddison
Junior Andrew Biddison is one of this week’s Redhawk of the Week. His favorite quote belongs to Winston Underwood. Biddison is the Vice President of Junior Statesman of America as well as an active participator in the classroom.

1. What are your post high school plans? 

I plan on attending St. Olaf College for a degree in social studies education and then completing my graduate studies at University of California, Berkeley.

2. How do you fit into the NCHS community? What activities are you involved in and what do you contribute inside and outside of the classroom? 

I’m the Vice President of our school’s Junior State of America (JSA), and inside the classroom I provide lighthearted humor and insightful conversation between myself, peers and the teacher (except not in math).

3. What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of my talent at playing the bass guitar.

4. What is your life dream?

My life dream is to be a professor at University of “Fill in the Blank” (a.k.a. any college).

5. What is something about you that you would like other Redhawks to know about you?

Fun fact: I’m lactose intolerant! 

6. Favorite high school memory?

My favorite memory is playing African percussion instruments with Mr. Estes in Music Appreciation.

7. Favorite joke or quote

Winston Underwood – “I’d rather lose as a statesman than win as a politician.”

8. What is something you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my cats: Curtis and Winston.

9. What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself?

Sassy, fierce, tall 

10. If your life were a movie, what would be the title?

Andrew Biddison: Super Star 

11. Who is your biggest hero or role model?

My biggest hero is Johannes Gutenberg.

12. What is a motto you live your life by?

My motto is: “Turn down for what?”
