1. What are your post high school plans?

After high school, I want to study Elementary Education at Brigham Young University (BYU). Then, I would like to teach first or second grade students because I love working with kids.

2. How do you fit into the NCHS community? What activities are you involved in and what do you contribute inside and outside of the classroom?

I’m involved with Orchesis dance team, choir, and Freshman Class Council. I love music and dance and I also take a scripture study class every morning before school. I try to be positive and help others have a good time too.

3. What are you most proud of?

I am proud that I had a smooth transition into Freshman year and high school in general. It’s definitely a lot busier and more stressful than last year, so I’m happy I’ve been able to keep my grades up and work hard while still just having fun!

4. What is your life dream?

My life dream is to impact other peoples’ lives for the better, to have a job working with kids and to someday have my own family.

5. What is something about you that you would like other Redhawks to know about you?

I love getting to know lots of different people and I am accepting of others. If you ever need a friend, I’m here!

6. Favorite high school memory?

One of my favorite memories would have to be at our Homecoming game this year when they sent red floating lanterns over the school and everyone got really excited—it was just magical!

7. Favorite joke or quote?

“To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own light, follow your own path, and don’t worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine their brightest.”- Unknown.

8. What is something you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my family. They are so loving and supportive everyday. We’re pretty tight-knit and are one of those families that actually WANTS to hang out together!

9. What are three adjectives you would use to describe yourself?

Friendly, compassionate, weird

10. If your life were a movie, what would be the title?

My Life as a Disney Character

11. Who is your biggest hero or role model?

My biggest role model is my older sister, Christina. She is so friendly and outgoing with everyone, and goes out of her way to include people who feel left out. Her smile is contagious and she brings out the best in everyone around her.

12. What is a motto you live your life by?

“Stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone.”

As a staff, the Central Times strives to recognize the accomplishments, talents, personalities, ambitions and dreams of the diverse student body. Each week, the Central Times will interview an outstanding Central student from each grade level and then feature these students on our website, centraltimes.org, as Redhawks of the Week. These students are nominated by their peers. If you wish to nominate an outstanding Central student for Redhawks of the Week, please tweet the student’s name and grade to @centraltimes, message the Central Times on Facebook, or submit your nomination during school to Room 218, the Central Times office.
