Girls’ gymnastics place at Dec. 6 home meet

Central’s girls’ JVI and JVII Gymnastics teams competed against Glenbard West on Tuesday Dec. 6. Central’s JVI placed second receiving a 108.45 behind Glenbard West’s 128.6 girls and Central’s JVII placed second receiving a 93.75 behind Glenbard West’s 106.45.

“The girls did very well tonight,” said senior Captain Carrie Deveney.

Tuesday was Central’s first girls’ gymnastics meet at home but the second meet of the season.

“The team is working hard and can’t wait for the winter break to start working on new skills,” said gymnastics coach Glen Reimers. “The team is very cohesive and Carrie Deveney and Mari Aldaba are doing a great job setting up team building and team get together activities. The big sister/little sister program is going well.”

Place finishers included freshmen Grace Ellis and Logan Hassler and senior Kendall Hassler.
