Naperville Central’s Class of 2015 commencement took place on May 20. The program included an opening reflection by senior Esther Lu, the honors speech by senior Sanjay Subramanian, a speech by Senior Class President Alie Charmolie, Senior Class Vice-President Katie McGriff presenting the Senior Class gifts, the Senior Choir performing “Star Spangled Banner” and “Remember When” and a speech by Principal Bill Wiesbrook.

District 203 school board members Susan Crotty, Mike Jaensch and Donna Wandke along with Central Assistant Principals Carrie McFadden and Jackie Thornton presented diplomas while Senior Class Secretary Aiesha Basha and Senior Class Treasurer Vignesh Thanawala did roll call.

The ceremony ended with fireworks and senior Chris Redgate suiting up in his Moses costume one last time and leading the graduates in Central’s pep rally ritual, “parting the Red Sea.” This is the first year that commencement included this sort of event.
